We are restarted the annual Christmas Lights Switch-on event this year after a 2 year break.

The event was held on SATURDAY NOVEMBER 19th 2022

Activities included :

• Two Father Christmas Cruises
• Community stalls and live music in the Market Cross shopping area,
• A festive atmosphere around the town
• A family fun zone in the area near the school
• The main Procession with Father Christmas and lantern bearers
• and a concluding Firework Display in Rothay Park. (see the picture below!)

A date for your diary..... the 2023 event will be on Saturday November 18th

The future of the lights depends very much on local people volunteering to help with the many tasks! We need to recruit new young volunteers! If you are prepared to help secure the future of the lights, you can find out more by emailing amblesidelights@btinternet.com
